How to preload FC 26 & Download it early
The FC 26 Web App is expected to release two days before FC 26 Ultimate Edition is released, here is the key information that you need to know to get ahead of the competition.

FC 26 is around the corner. Preload now so you’re not stuck downloading at launch. If you bought Ultimate Edition, you unlock on 19 September 2025 (but PC and XBOX players get it early). Standard is 26 September 2025. Below: how to preload on PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X|S/One, and PC (EA app/Steam). I’ll also cover Dual Entitlement and the usual mistakes.
FC 26 Preload Key Tips - PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S / X & PC
To preload the game, first make sure you’ve got free space on your drive. Double-check the download is around 53~ GB on your platform. There could be a patch drop between the day you preload and launch day, and you don’t want to be clearing space at the last minute. Always check the download and if it ever freezes, just pause then unpause the download.
How to download EA FC 26 on PC
In the EA app or Steam, open your Library, look for the game
Click on FC 26 and then press “Pre-load” as show in the image below
Let the download finish, Play unlocks at your platform’s store countdown
How to download FC 26 on Playstation
Go to PlayStation store and search FC 26
- Alternatively go to your Library & Purchases and find FC 26
Select FC 26 and press Download
- Let the download finish
- Note if it does not download, or you get an error, just go to downloads and retry stop and start if it freezes
- The game will unlock 19th September Midnight your local time
FC26 on Xbox (Series X|S & One) — Preload steps
Go to Xbox Search and Type FC 26
- Alternatively Press Xbox Button then go to my “My Games & Apps” then “See All” then “Full Library”
Scroll down and find FC 26 and click on on Download
Let the download finish, Play unlocks at your platform’s store countdown, however you can play 11 Hours early with the New Zealand Glitch (see my other post)
And thats it! You are ready to go with FC 26 releases, just be ready, do not forget to check if there is an update, sometimes EA like to throw a cheeky update before the game releases, so double check a day before, or better yet, turn on auto-updates and leave your console on sleep/rest mode/standby.
Note: If you try to launch the game it wont load until the release date depending on your time zone, the game will be able to play once it becomes release, otherwise if you try to boot the game, you will get a "too early" or similar message

The web app for FC 26 is expected to release at 6pm UK time (BST) on the 17th September 2025, historically it always releases around this time, two days before the release date. Sometimes there may be a delay in getting on because of server overloads.
